Type Bloc Display Font

The Type Bloc Display, was a regular weight font that became part of a visual exploration within my MA studies looking at the value of modularity. The idea came from exploring the work
of Modernist designers such as Jurriaan Schrofer and Josef Albers. This modular font was generated using component pieces that reflect a visual system. Communicating this, I wanted to produce a fun and playful response towards modular block toys, whilst reflecting the flexibility of modular component pieces within each letterform. This font is currently still in development to build a full glyph set that will include different weights that
will develop into a variable typeface.
